Subcontracts
Module Overview:
The Subcontracts module in Workbench is designed to help your company create, control, and process subcontractors and their claims. This module is meant to be used in situations where a Purchase Order does not provide enough control or information for you or the subcontractor, especially where progress claims to you are concerned.
With the Subcontracts module you can do the following:
- Create multiple subcontracts under existing Jobs.
- Assign Work Orders to subcontractors as a way of committing expenditure, similar to Purchase Orders but used as a schedule for Subcontract Claims Tab.
- Allow Subcontract Users to submit Variation Requests, Insurances, Messages, and Claims through the Subcontracts Portal.
- Certification of Subcontract Claims Tab for payment with notes on differences between claimed and certified amounts, automatic calculation of /wiki/spaces/WBCONCLAIMACC/pages/43783834, and eventual Subcontract Retention Management.
- View Subcontract Payments to ensure that your subcontractors have been paid for the work completed.
To get started with Subcontracts, be sure to review the Subcontract Settings to ensure the module is customised to your company's situation. New Subcontracts can be created by Navigating to the Jobs screen and selecting "Subcontract" from the blue ellipsis button, then clicking "New Subcontract" in Subcontracts List.
