Like other modules, Subcontracts require configuration before use.

Configurations

• The Subcontract Permission: This permission is typically granted to internal roles to enable them to view all subcontractor data. It cannot be granted to a subcontractor. This restriction is hardcoded, ensuring that when using the Subcontractor Portal List and Subcontract Portal Work Order List menu items, the system assumes the user's company is the subcontractor. Consequently, all Subcontracts, Work Orders, and Subcontract Users are filtered based on this context, preventing subcontractors from accessing data outside their purview.

• The Work Order Permission: This permission allows internal roles to view unapproved Work Orders, but should not be granted to Subcontract Users. If not granted, unapproved Work Orders will be hidden from lists and aggregated data visible to users.
