Subcontracts
Overview
The Subcontracts module within Workbench is designed to assist your company in creating, managing, and processing subcontracts and their claims. It is particularly useful in scenarios where a Purchase Order lacks sufficient control or detail for both you and the subcontractor, especially regarding progress claims. The Subcontract Settings needed to be completed before use.
User Document: Subcontracts
A subcontract is a contract in which a head contractor - your organisation - engages a secondary contractor, referred to as a subcontractor, to carry out particular tasks within the scope of a larger project.
Workbench provides Subcontract Portal that allows direct subcontract users to view their agreements, submit requests for variations, update insurance details, file claims, and check payments. For instance, if your organisation engages Company B as a subcontractor, and Company B subsequently hires Company C as their subcontractor, only Company B would have access to the Subcontract Portal, while Company C would not.
The System Administrators are responsible for creating Site Map profiles that grant the necessary access.
A single subcontract can contain multiple Work Orders.
