EBA Interpreter

Overview:

For a broader overview of the EBA module, please refer to our EBA Overview.

The EBA Interpreter is used to process existing Timesheets using assigned EBA Profiles and EBA Schemes.

Screen Guide:

Use the filters to refine which timesheets should be targeted, then click the Generate button. A green message will appear notifying you that transactions are being processed. You can navigate away from this page if you wish, but if you wait, another green message will appear once the process has finished. Results are displayed in the lower section detailing which Date/Person was targeted with notes in the Message field.

You can use the Delete button to remove any EBA outputs, leaving only the original transactions in place. This button uses the current filter settings as well, so you will need to precisely target the data you wish to delete. Note that you cannot delete payroll transactions that have been batched in Batch Payroll.

Generating the EBA multiple times will simply clear previously generated payroll transactions and replace them with the currently profile rules.

Note: Updated October 2023 (release 4.6.18)

Access to the EBA site map items is now controlled by not only the appropriate licence but also a NEW PERMISSION called EBA Admin

Those users with the standard roles Finance or Administrator, will not be affected, as this permission has been included in those roles.

However, if users have a custom role assigned to them, this new permission must be added to those roles for the user to have access to the EBA screens.

EBA is included in Finance. System Admin and now Data Entry licences.

Next Steps:

Once payroll transactions are generated, they can be reviewed in Timesheet Administration. Next, we can Batch Payroll, bringing in all payroll lines for the payroll period, then export the batch using Export Control.
