Overview:

Sub Categories are a subset of Stock Categories, giving you another layer of categorisation of your Stock List. You can link sub categories to existing Stock Categories on this screen, but the parent category must already exist.

Screen Guide:

Enter a shorthand Code followed by the corresponding Description. Link the line to an existing Category Code, or leave it blank. Once a Stock Category has been used on a Stock Item it cannot be deleted, but it can be made Inactive. Otherwise tick the Bin icon checkbox and Save to delete unused categories.

Next Steps:

Once set up, you can link Stock List to categories and sub categories, enabling the ability to filter and sort based on them. Stock Groups add another layer of grouping to the Stock module.
