Location Tracking
Upvise utilizes input-based location tracking across its applications like Jobs, Equipment, and Forms, offering several advantages:
Equipment:
Instantly view the location of your equipment on a map.
Easily update equipment location daily using your phone’s GPS.
Jobs:
Enable manual 'check-in' or automatic tracking for your team to focus on the road.
Access real-time driving directions and traffic information through Google Maps integration.
Optimize daily visits by finding the shortest route.
Jobs update dynamically, reflecting travel status, work in progress, or on hold. Pausing and restarting jobs is seamless.
Forms:
GPS Location is embedded during Form creation.
Upon Form creation, the GPS position is automatically calculated based on the phone's GPS and stored in the Address or Location field.
Display the location in the Form view on the web app or by tapping the (i) icon on a phone.
Note: Location is not set when creating a Form on the web due to the absence of GPS on laptops or desktops.
View all Forms created in a day on a Map.
Browse Photos taken in Forms from the Map or Photos menu in the web app's left pane or the Today section on mobile.

Privacy Settings:Scroll down and tap on "Privacy."
Location Services:Tap on "Location Services" at the top to access the location settings.

System Services (Optional):If needed, you can also configure location settings for various system services by scrolling down and tapping on "System Services."
Android:
The steps might vary slightly depending on the device and Android version, but generally:
Open Settings:
Open the "Settings" app. You can usually find it in the app drawer or by swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping the gear icon.
Location Settings:Scroll down and look for "Location" or "Biometrics and security" (the wording may differ based on your device).
Enable Location:Toggle the switch to enable location services. On some devices, you might need to tap on "Location" to access more detailed settings.
Mode Selection:Choose the location mode based on your preference. The options typically include High accuracy (GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks), Battery saving (Wi-Fi and mobile networks), and Device only (GPS).
App Permissions (Optional):Below the location settings, you can review and manage app-specific location permissions. You can individually grant or deny location access to apps.
Remember that having location services enabled allows various apps and services to use your device's location information, which can be useful for features like navigation, location-based reminders, and more. Be mindful of privacy considerations and only grant location access to apps that you trust.
