Upvise- Resource Scheduler App
Overview:
The Resource Scheduler is a web-only Upvise Application used to provide administrative and operations staff with a tool to schedule time for Projects/Equipment/Employees in one place.
This application is desktop friendly, and it is not compatible with the Upvise mobile application.
The Resource scheduler can be used to send staff notifications via SMS regarding their schedule. This is ideal for administration or operations teams wanting a brief overview of where resources are allocated throughout the week.
The Resource Scheduler can be viewed by day, week, or month by either Project, Equipment, or Employee. Below is an example of the Weekly view by Employee:
Setting up the Resource Scheduler:
Workbench Jobs should be synced to Upvise as a Project (see Projects)
Job Names should be Unique,
we don't display workbench Job codes in the Resource Scheduler in Upvise
Employees or contacts should exist in workbench, with their mobile phone number populated in their contact record. We use Employee flagged contacts in the resource scheduler.
The mobile phone number should lead with the international prefix and country code, with no spaces. e.g. for Australian mobile numbers, Australia has a country code of “+61”, so the mobile number 0491 578 957 should be listed as +61491578957
Workbench Plant should be synced to Upvise as Equipment
Your workbench Consultant or a member of the support team can deploy the application and arrange for an SMS licence via support@wbi.freshdesk.com
Using the Resource Scheduler:
Below is a screen guide on how to navigate through the scheduler and how to create events on the scheduler.
Navigation
Log into Upvise with the required credentials.
Click on the three horizontal bars to view the application list.
Select Resource Scheduler from the list.
The scheduler will open and default to the weekly Project view. See example below where you can see coloured events displaying schedule items
Depending on your business requirement, you can create or view events from this view or by switching to other views by clicking on the “project” filter up the top left
You can refer to the Key on the calendar view to help visually differentiate between the event types (Leave, Labour etc)
Use the List filter to display project with events only
Use the “Search” filter to narrow down the date range, project or equipment you want to display the events for.
Hover over any event tile and you will see a “tool tip” with more information regarding the event
Click into the event and click on the “View Contact Information” button to view the assigned employee contact details:
Creating Events
To create an event in the resource scheduler, you can do this via two methods.
Left click
Left Click anywhere in the scheduler and select the Event Type (Leave, Labour, Equipment, Note)
You will see some of the data pre-populate in a “New Event” window:
Fill in any missing data and click save to save the event.
“Plus” + Button to create event
Click on the “+” button on the top left of the scheduler view
Select the Event Type & populate the data required.

Sending SMS
You can notify employees of their schedule via the Resource Scheduler. To do this you will need to apply the following filters to ensure the SMS’s for the correct date period are being sent.
