How to run the Setup Wizard

For System Administrators only. This should be executed only once during the initial setup of a new instance.

Tips

Before initiating the Wizard, recommended that you have completed reading the User documentation and collected relevant information:

  • Company name

  • Company logo

  • Financial company for your organisation

  • The currency includes the system currency and Foreign currencies

  • Tax type and rate.

  • Location

  • Timesheet parameters

  • Coding for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Note that in case having update from Financial Software, updated data will overwrite these AP and AR values entered in Workbench.

  • Financial periods

  • Stock information

  • Technical parameters for report server, file storage, based URL.

 Instructions

  1. Go to System Setup \ System Wizard

  2. Give the settings of:

    • Financial company for your organisation

    • The using currency and any foreign currencies your organisation might use.

    • Tax (GST) information and rate.

    • Organisation name for displayed on Workbench screen and reports.

    • The locations.

    • The prefix and sequence digits will be used for batches.

    • Timesheet parameters as week ending date, time units per hour, week ending dates, type.

    • Set the automatic generation of numbers for:

      Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts

      Job Invoices

      Job Credits

      Purchase Orders

      The numbering format is defined by a mix of letters and numbers. For instance, selecting the format "aaass" will result in the system generating Account Numbers beginning with the supplier's Alpha Code's first three letters, followed by a sequential two-digit number. This ensures a consistent and automated numbering system for suppliers.

    • Set the financial periods.

    • Define the Sale codes and charge type that will be used for billing.

    • Stock setting if applied.

    • Set some technical parameters:

      • File storing location.

      • The SSRS Web Service URL for reports.

      • Name of the folder in SSRS where Workbench Reports are stored.

      • Verify the Workbench URL that used in all email hyperlinks which is generated automatically by the application installation.

  3. Click on Save button when done.
