Installing Custom Extension

Step 1: Obtain the Custom Extension

The Workbench custom extension is located here. This repo has all the different versions of the custom extension and the Notes on what has changed since the last version. Note that only Workbench employees and Workbench Business Partners have access to this folder.

Step 2: Navigate to Extension Management

Login to the Business Central web client. Once logged in, navigate to the Extension Management page. You can typically find it by going to the Search bar and typing "Extension Management" or by accessing the "Extension Management" option from the main menu. 

Step 3: Choose "Upload Extension"

On the Extension Management page, locate the "Upload Extension" button and click on it to start the extension installation process. 

 

Step 4: Select the Extension File  and Deploy

A dialog box or file explorer window will appear. Use it to locate and select the extension file. Click "Accept the privacy policy.. " which will enable the Deploy button. Click Deploy.

 

Step 5: Verify the Installation

Navigate to Installation Status to verify if the installation is successful
