  • Forecast - An error when approving a forecast. This was inadvertently introduce with new beta functionality in 4.5.5.12.

New Features

Service Desk - Outsourced Model

The Service Desk Logs have been enhanced to support an outsourced model that can allocate Logs to external people.

A. Set the 'Use Alternate Log Allocated To' control parameter to Yes to enable the alternate Work Group Person picker rather than the standard Employee picker.

B. The Work Group Person picker uses the 'Service Log Allocation Work Groups' control parameter as the comma separated list of valid Work Groups.

C. The combined lists of specified work group members are listed as options for allocation. The work groups may include external people i.e. non-employees.

D. Since the allocation is external the progress and work on the log is external to Workbench. When the work is invoiced, this is AP invoiced in the usual manner for the respective supplier.

E. Log No will list the logs allocated to people from the supplier, and the respective log may be specified if applicable.

F. Specifying the AP Invoice Log No will display the AP invoice lines on the Log’s ‘Purchases’ tab that support navigating to the AP invoice.

This functionality may be used in conjunction with direct Log invoicing refer 4.5.3.

Feature Revisions

Lists

  • My Approvals - Amended the Assigned To picker to allow selection of inactive people to support the scenario where work assigned to an ex-employee has been delegated.

Timesheets

  • Timesheet Daily - The control parameter ‘Validate Timesheet Start and End Times' validation has been enhanced. If enabled this will now validate that time entries do not overlap based on their Start and End, and that Quantity corresponds to the Start-End duration. Note the calculated Quantity is not always exactly the Start-End duration due the configured time rounding. An error will display as per below.

Purchasing

  • Purchase Requisition Mobile - The Work Centre has been added to the PR Line.

  • Purchase Order - Addressed an issue where updating the PO Date was not updating the Year/Period on all PO lines.

  • AP Voucher -

    • Confirm workflow schema matches on the first This Voucher line Job in a multi-PO scenario if Job matching is configured.

    • Amend the default display order on This Voucher tab to be by VoucherLineID. This allows the user to anticipate which line Job may be used.

Jobs

  • Job List - Rectified an issue where the Account Manager filter was incorrectly using the Job Manager attribute to provide the list of people.

Month End

  • Period Ends - Closing Stock on Period Ends will now check that the Stock Close out has been performed for the period. If not, an error will display as below.

  • Batch Control - The export of Labour Journals now validates that timesheet user belongs to a profit centre.

Work Breakdown

  • Activities - Rectified an issue where Work Centre was not being defaulted when added to an Activity Group using the Activities Group tab.

Service Desk

  • Log - Status vs. Workflow Status - To better support MDE compatibility the field has been split. The Status will remain a user configurable status as per the MDE, setup using Status Type of ‘Log Statuses’.

    The auto driven statuses will display as Workflow Status based on the following definitions:

    • Allocated (on setting Allocated To)

    • Completed (on setting Complete Date)

    • AP Processed (on AP Invoice)

    • Billed (on AR Invoice)

  • Log List - As per the split of Log Status into Status vs. Workflow Status, the list now supports the two statuses. Priority and Completed Date have also been added as filters.

Administration

  • Data Imports - A review has been performed and various Excel import templates updated to include:

    • Conditional formatting additions standardised across all sheets,

    • Standardised column widths

    • the second "ColourKey" sheet which provides definitions of the conditional formatting for users

 

Integration

Upvise

  • Timesheet (Native) - Synchronisation now supports time and plant transactions from the native timesheet module. The rate code on the transaction defaults from the plant item.
    This scenario only works with hourly plant as it matches the hours of the person.

  • Company - Rectified an issue where sync of a company could cause it to lose the custom groups.

    The Subcontract Claim reports have been updated to display a standardised approver’s signature and approval date based on the Approver’s signature and Approval Date.


    The signature is configured in the Profile - Signature menu.
