Overview:

Insurance Types are used to define different categories of insurances or certificates that can then be applied to Companies. They are also used in Subcontract Insurances.

Screen Guide:

• Insurance Type Code is the shorthand code for this insurance type.
• Description is the longer description of the type.
• Type allows you to define this line by either Insurance or Certificate for sorting and organisational purposes.
• Is Mandatory enforces the inclusion of this insurance type for companies when ticked.
• The Bin icon is used to delete unused types by ticking the box and clicking saved. Types that have been used elsewhere in the system cannot be deleted.

Use the + New Insurance Type button to add an additional line, then enter the required information and click Save.

Once you have added a new type, you can record that type against a Company or in Subcontract Insurances.
