New Features

Collapsible Filters

We are introducing our new collapsible filters on Job List, AP Invoice List, and Plant List. This currently offers the same search functionality but with a reduced screen footprint which will benefit complex searches and smaller screens.

  • Any further search criteria in addition to the primary criterion will display in a collapsed format.
  • Click [Edit] to display the expanded format to edit the criteria.
  • Applying the filter auto collapses the criteria.
  • Alternatively click on the collapsed criteria to edit and the focus is auto set on its value.
  • Remove a criterion by first expanding the collapsed criteria format.

Feature Revisions

  • An intermittent issue preventing saving is rectified. This was caused by the same issue where new documents could not be saved for a newly created batch.

Timesheets

  • Daily Timesheet -
    • An issue that displayed a default job work centre even though it was closed is resolved.
    • The Work Centre on the Plant Issue popup was corrected to display the Job Work Centre description.
    • The Plant lookup on the Plant Issue popup now supports Plant Group as filter option.

Purchasing

  • Bulk Lines Procurement

The Bulk Lines Procurement screen for combining lines from different purchase requisitions (PRs) into one PO is tweaked for usability. This is typically required to qualify for bulk discounts.

•  Accessed from Purchasing - Requisitions - Bulk Lines Procurement (A)
•  Apply the filters required (B). The list displays PR lines rather than PR headers.
•  Tick the required lines (C) to select PR lines. Some tickboxes may be disabled if the line already has a PO line, or the PR is not approved.
•  To create the lines in an unapproved PO click [Create New PO] (D), and complete the required fields and confirm (E).
•  The lines will be created in this new PO and the PO number displayed on the respective lines (F) and can be used to open the PO.
•  To add the lines to and existing PO, specify an existing unapproved PO (G) as the target.

•  Click [Add to PO] (H) to create the PO lines; and the PO number displays on the respective lines (F) and can be used to open the PO.
•  To remove all PO lines you can select the PO (G) and click the [Remove All PO Lines] button (I). Alternatively navigate to the PO and remove the lines individually.

  • Purchase Order -
    • The grid fields have been enhanced to hide irrelevant columns for new POs i.e. Outstanding Qty, Outstanding Cost, Complete, and Line Details.
    • Infrequently used field are hidden by default on grid management i.e. Line Code, Reference, Required Delivery Date, Follow Up Date, and Expected Date.

Contracts

  • Contract Enquiry, Forecast - A new Manual Line button is now available to add a line into the Forecast if the Job, Work Centre, Activity does not already exist. This enables adjustments to be made where there is no budgets, actuals or commitments.

Jobs

  • Job Wizard, Job Details - To support the use of notional currencies i.e. a pseudo foreign currency code to represent a fixed rate, the job currency still defaults from the client company but is now editable. Also, any currency code mismatch on the selected price code is now a warning rather than being disallowed. This affects the Job Wizard, Job Details, and Job Maintenance.
  • Job Enquiry, Invoicing tab - The GST element on AR Credit notes now displays to provide a more consistent view.

Subcontracts

  • Retention Management - Retention releases were not displaying in the My Approvals list for approval review; this is rectified.

Plant

  • Plant Detail, Attachments tab - An Attachments tab has been added with the standard functionality. This is mde compatible and attachments made under mde Plant Management will be visible here.

Administration

  • Utilities - Filters are now available on the Utilities screen to limit the list.

Integration

MYOB Advanced Tax Codes

Previously the Workbench GST Type was mapped to the Tax Category in MYOB Advanced.  This has been changed so that GST Types map to the Tax ID, and a single Tax Category is used when posting to MYOB Advanced.  This change enables the tax on AR and AP invoices to be populated in MYOB Advanced so that it exactly matches the tax in Workbench.

This Tax Category is specified on the MYOB Advanced Setup screen.

And the Export Code on the Workbench GST Types

maps to the Tax IDs configured on the designated Tax Category

The Tax Zone in MYOB Advanced is always populated as DOMESTIC, and the required Tax IDs need to be set up there also.

Note: this change means that GST Types in Workbench can no longer be shared between AR and AP.  Separate GST Types must be configured for AR and AP.
