Overview:
This screen can be accessed through Timesheets → Timesheet Entry → My Timesheets. Depending on which method of timesheet entry is the default in Control Parameters (Daily or Weekly Timesheets), the corresponding page is displayed when navigating through My Timesheets without having to go to the specific Daily or Weekly Timesheets pages.
Timesheets in Workbench are week based, even if your company has a different payroll period such as fortnightly or monthly.
Screen Guide:
- + New Timesheet creates a new timesheet, one week ending beyond the current timesheet. Remember, you will only need to create a new timesheet once per week. If you have already created one, simply click on the blue hyperlink on the line with the desired week ending.
- Full Name is the logged in user, and is also the hyperlink to the detail of that week's timesheets.
- Week Ending is the last day of the timesheet week. Remember, each week's timesheets contain this day and all six days previous to it. Your system administrator has set the week ending to align with the payroll period.
- Entered is the total number of hours entered for this week's timesheet.
- Standard is the number of standard hours, set up in Users when creating the employee, you are expected to enter in a week.
- Variance is the difference between entered and standard hours. This is a good indicator that the timesheet is unfinished, missing hours, overtime worked, or duplicated hours.
- Completed being ticked means that this timesheet has been completed by the user and it is ready to be approved.
- Approved being ticked means that the supervisor has reviewed and approved this timesheet.
