Apply for leave in Upvise using the “Leave Application” form. This form integrates into the Workbench Leave Module, where leave requests are managed and approved.

Getting Started

Before you can start using the leave form in Upvise, you must complete the configuration of your Leave Module in workbench

Submitting a Leave Application in Upvise

Leave requests are linked to the employee record in Upvise. To submit a new leave request, do the following:

  1. Navigate to Contacts

  2. Select “Groups”

  3. Select the “Employee” Contact group

  4. Select yourself from the list, or the person you are submitting the leave application on behalf of.

  5. Click “+”

  6. Click “Form”

  7. Click “Employee”

  8. Select Leave Application from the list of forms

  9. Select the leave Type from the list

  10. Select the leave approver in the “request Approval By” field (this should match the leave approvers in your timesheet approval set up)

  11. Input the start date and end date.

    1. Note: leave is inclusive of these days. So if you are taking leave for 1 day, you should select the same date in the start and end date field to calculate 1 day of leave.

    2. To change the number of hours where you may only be requesting 4 hours of leave for that day, you can modify this in the “Number of Days” and “Number of Hours” fields

  12. Click the “save” tick

  13. Review the leave and click “Submit”

  14. The leave request will land in workbench leave management module for your workbench leave administrators to review and approve.

  15. You will see the tentative leave captured on the Jobs Calendar
