Module Overview:

Setup requirements are :

  1. Leave Management Types - see separate section Leave Type Maintenance, and

  2. Site Map Profiles for Leave Requestors, Approvers and Administrators - see Site Map Profile Maintenance

  3. Timesheet Group and Role Authorities:

    • a person entered as a Primary or Secondary Leave Reviewer for a Timesheet Group may Review Leave.

    • a person entered as a Primary or Secondary Leave Approver for a Timesheet Group may Approve Leave.

    • a person entered as a Leave Administrator for a Timesheet Group may enter Leave Requests on behalf of another (this does not apply to Bulk Leave Creation)

    • a Leave Administrator must also be entered as a Leave Approver to be able to enter Leave Requests on behalf of another and Approve the Request.

      • Ensure the Other Role Dropdown values are entered in the Lookups Table  System Management → edit Lookups

      • Enter the person and their authority for a Timesheet Group, provide them with an Other Role of Leave Primary Approver and Leave Administrator

  1. a person who has been given access to the screen via the Site Map Profile may enter Leave Requests on behalf of others via Bulk Leave Creation

  2. Leave Working Weeks is generally the same for all employees. If there are multiple Working Weeks, multiple records must be entered and the default nominated.
    Employees with a working week that differs from the default should have the appropriate week entered on their People record.

    1. add working week: Leave Management --> Working Weeks Maintenance

    5. add working week to employee records: this is only required for employees whose working week differs from the default
      System Management → People Maintenance → Click Name → select working week from dropdown list → save.

  3. Set Extended Productivity on each employee record:
    Leave Request total time is normalised based on the Requester Working Week and Day Hours, but the leave time entries in Timesheets are normalised on Extended Productivity, so both of these must be setup for the employee.

  4. if 'Leave Balance' is to be displayed, it should be loaded into the 'LeaveBalance' Table. Fields are PersonID, LeaveTypeID, LeaveBalanceDate, LeaveBalanceDays.
    The only integrations that import Leave Balances back to Workbench are MYOB AccountRight and MYOB Advanced.
