Workbench Release Notes
Upvise Server Infrastructure Update
Upvise are releasing updates to their servers to enhance performance and security.
URL CHANGE: As a first step in the server update, the URL to access Upvise on the web (PC) will change from https://www.upvise.com/uws to https://s3.upvise.com
Web users will be automatically redirected to the new URL, however will be redirected to log in again.
Where you have bookmarked the Upvise URL in your browser, please update this to https://s3.upvise.com
MOBILE APP UPDATE: Mobile users will need to update their Upvise Mobile application available from 5th February to ensure Upvise is usable. Old application versions will no longer be usable after 1st May.
Note: by default, the app update mechanism should update their apps in the background seamlessly.
DLL Update (Integration): Workbench will be updating the UpviseClient DLL to v3.0 as part of this upgrade (Expected to be available in release v4.6.25).
Public Form URL’s and PowerBI export URL’s will change, OLD URL’s continue to work seamlessly during the transition period however clients should gradually migrate over to the new URL.
From 5th February
Web users using the legacy https://www.upvise.com/uws link will be redirected to the new URL and will have to log in again. You will see a message to advise: Please sign in with on https://s3.upvise.com
New Android and iOs Upvise app available with the new URL built-in available on AppStore and Google Play
From 19th February
Client DLL v3.0 is expected to be available in Workbench General Release v4.6.25
On-premise clients will be required to upgrade to this version before 1st May 2024.
From 1st May:
All users should have upgraded to the latest version of Upvise on mobile and UpviseClient DLL.
Public Form URL and PowerBI Link should already be migrated to the new URL.

Last Meter Reading from Upvise:
On completion of a Plant Service log in Upvise (‘Scheduled Service’ or 'Unplanned Service'), when the log syncs to Workbench, the system will find the most recent reading in Workbench and mark it as a Service. The criteria for the reading is:the plant log is a “service” type i.e. ‘Scheduled Service’ or 'Unplanned Service'

most recent reading before the completion date of the log

Sell rate on Quotes:
When there is a line with Activity + Employee Class + Time Code, the Sell rate used will be derived from the Price Code on the CostSheet, rather than from the Employee Class.

A small change has been made on the new Subcontract Claim Accrual process to only include unapproved claims.

What is included in each Licence?
For Licence Administrators, that want to understand what is included in each licence, we have improved the report that displays all the sitemap items included in a licence, by adding the Site licence and/or Permission required for specific screens. Below is an example of the Job Costing licence report that can be printed from Purchased Licences in Licence Matrix:
Another way to see what specific Licence, Site Licence, Permission is required for a screen, is using the Page Parameters icon,which opens the screen below, where you can check Permissions, Control Parameters, Settings, and Licences controling the specific screen:

New Equipment Option: Pre-Start (Daily Checklist)
A new setting has been introduced “Always show Prestart button on mobile”. When enabled, the Daily Checklist option will always show.
Admin users can apply the new setting in Equipment Web app > Options > General
Update Naming convention to Category in Job Options
“Equipment Group” changed to “Category” in line with standard naming convention within Job Options.
