Device & Operating System- Minimum Requirements

Summary:

This documentation outlines the minimum device and operating system requirements for the Upvise application, along with instructions for updating operating systems and the Upvise app on Android and iOS devices.

Current Upvise Mobile Application Versions:

  • iOs Version 8.0.2 (2nd September, 2024)

  • Android is Version 8.3 (5th November, 2024)

Mobile OS Version

  • Android OS: version 9 or higher (any brand, both tablet and phone)

  • Apple iOS: version 16.0 or higher (both iPhone and iPad)

To ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features, it is strongly advised to always use the most recent version of the Upvise native app on your device. While Upvise apps are designed to function on older operating systems, updating both the device OS and the Upvise app should be the first step when troubleshooting issues.

How to Update Your Device’s Operating System?

For Android Devices

  1. Open Settings: Go to the "Settings" app (usually found in the app drawer or via the gear icon in the notification shade).

  2. Navigate to System/Software Update:

    • Scroll down and tap System or About Phone.

    • Tap Software Update or System Updates.

  3. Check for Updates: Tap Check for Updates. If an update is available:

    • Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it.

  4. Ensure Battery Life: Keep your device charged or connected to power during the update.

  5. Restart Device: Once installed, restart your device to complete the process.

For iPhone/iPad Devices

  1. Open Settings: Tap the Settings app on the home screen.

  2. Navigate to General:

    • Tap General, then tap Software Update.

  3. Check for Updates: If an update is available:

    • Tap Download and Install, then agree to the terms and conditions.

    • Enter your device passcode if prompted.

  4. Ensure Power: Ensure your device is charged or connected to a power source.

  5. Restart Device: Restart to complete the update process.

 

How to update your Upvise Mobile application?

Updating a mobile application on both iPhone (iOS) and Android involves slightly different processes. Here are step-by-step instructions for each platform:

Updating a Mobile Application on iPhone (iOS):

  1. Unlock Your iPhone: Ensure your iPhone is unlocked and accessible.

  2. Open the App Store:

    1. Locate the "App Store" icon on your home screen, which looks like a blue icon with a white "A" on it.

    2. Tap on the "App Store" icon to open the App Store.

  3. Navigate to the "Updates" Tab:

    1. At the bottom of the screen, you will find several tabs. Tap on the "Updates" tab, represented by a square icon with a downward arrow.

  4. Check for Updates:

    1. On the "Updates" tab, you will see a list of available updates for your installed apps.
      If there's an update available for a specific app, you'll see an "Update" button next to it.

  5. Update All Apps (Optional):

    1. If you want to update all apps simultaneously, you can tap "Update All" at the top of the screen.

  6. Update Individual Apps:

    1. If you prefer to update specific apps, tap the "Update" button next to each app you want to update.

  7. Enter Apple ID Password or Use Face/Touch ID:

    1. If prompted, enter your Apple ID password or use Face ID/Touch ID to confirm the update.

  8. Wait for the Update to Complete:

    1. The selected apps will start updating. Wait for the process to finish.

  9. Launch the Updated App:

    1. Once the update is complete, you can open the app from your home screen.

Updating a Mobile Application on Android:

  1. Unlock Your Android Device:

    1. Ensure your Android device is unlocked and accessible.

  2. Open Google Play Store:

    1. Locate the "Google Play Store" icon on your home screen or in the app drawer (a colorful play button).

    2. Tap on the "Google Play Store" icon to open the store.

  3. Access the "My apps & games" Section:

    1. Tap on the three horizontal lines (hamburger menu) at the top-left corner or swipe right from the left edge of the screen.

    2. Select "My apps & games" from the menu.

  4. Check for Updates:

    1. In the "Updates" tab, you will see a list of apps with available updates.

    2. If an update is available for a specific app, you'll see an "Update" button next to it.

  5. Update All Apps (Optional):
