Mobile OS Version

  • Android OS: version 9 or higher (any brand, both tablet and phone)

  • Apple iOS: version 16.0 or higher (both iPhone and iPad)

For optimal performance and access to the latest features, it is strongly advised to consistently utilise the most recent version of the Upvise native app on your devices.

From a technical standpoint, Upvise apps are designed to function on older OS devices. Nevertheless, in the event of troubleshooting, it is essential to prioritise updating both your device’s operating system and the Upvise Mobile application. Ensure you have the latest versions installed as the initial step when encountering any issues.

How do I update my Mobile/Tablet software?

Android:

  1. Open Settings: Go to the "Settings" app on your Android device. You can usually find it in your app drawer or by swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping the gear-shaped icon.

  2. Scroll Down and Tap "System" or "About Phone": The location may vary depending on your device and Android version, but look for options like "System," "Software Update," or "About Phone."

  3. Tap "Software Update" or "System Updates": In this section, you should find options related to software updates. The labels might differ based on the Android version or manufacturer.

  4. Check for Updates: Tap on the "Check for Updates" or "Check Now" button. Your device will connect to the update server to see if any new software updates are available.

  5. Download and Install Updates: If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it. Make sure your device has sufficient battery life or is connected to a power source to avoid any interruptions.

  6. Restart Your Device: After the update is installed, your device may prompt you to restart it. Restart your Android device to complete the software update process.

iPhone/Apple:

  1. Open Settings: Locate the "Settings" app on your iPhone's home screen and tap on it.

  2. Tap "General": Scroll down and tap on "General." It should be located below "Control Center" and above "Accessibility" in the list.

  3. Tap "Software Update": In the "General" settings, you should find the "Software Update" option. Tap on it to proceed.

  4. Check for Updates: Your iPhone will now check for available software updates. If an update is available, you'll see a description of the update along with an option to download and install it.

  5. Download and Install Updates: Tap on the "Download and Install" button. If prompted, enter your device passcode. Make sure your iPhone has sufficient battery life or is connected to a power source during the update process.

  6. Agree to Terms and Install: After the update is downloaded, tap on "Agree" to accept the terms and conditions, and then tap "Install." Your iPhone will begin the installation process.

  7. Restart Your iPhone: Once the update is installed, your iPhone may prompt you to restart it. Follow the on-screen instructions to restart your device and complete the software update.

Updating a mobile application on both iPhone (iOS) and Android involves slightly different processes. Here are step-by-step instructions for each platform:

Updating a Mobile Application on iPhone (iOS):

  1. Unlock Your iPhone: Ensure your iPhone is unlocked and accessible.

  2. Open the App Store:

    1. Locate the "App Store" icon on your home screen, which looks like a blue icon with a white "A" on it.

    2. Tap on the "App Store" icon to open the App Store.

  3. Navigate to the "Updates" Tab:

    1. At the bottom of the screen, you will find several tabs. Tap on the "Updates" tab, represented by a square icon with a downward arrow.

  4. Check for Updates:

    1. On the "Updates" tab, you will see a list of available updates for your installed apps.
      If there's an update available for a specific app, you'll see an "Update" button next to it.

  5. Update All Apps (Optional):

    1. If you want to update all apps simultaneously, you can tap "Update All" at the top of the screen.

  6. Update Individual Apps:

    1. If you prefer to update specific apps, tap the "Update" button next to each app you want to update.

  7. Enter Apple ID Password or Use Face/Touch ID:

    1. If prompted, enter your Apple ID password or use Face ID/Touch ID to confirm the update.

  8. Wait for the Update to Complete:

    1. The selected apps will start updating. Wait for the process to finish.

  9. Launch the Updated App:

    1. Once the update is complete, you can open the app from your home screen.

Updating a Mobile Application on Android:

  1. Unlock Your Android Device:

    2. Select "My apps & games" from the menu.

  4. Check for Updates:

    1. In the "Updates" tab, you will see a list of apps with available updates.

    2. If an update is available for a specific app, you'll see an "Update" button next to it.

  5. Update All Apps (Optional):
