Upvise SMS Sender ID Changes (AU) - 1 July 2026
Due to upcoming ACMA regulatory changes effective 1 July 2026, Workbench will no longer support client-specific/custom SMS Sender IDs within the standard Workbench-managed SMS gateway.
To maintain compliance and ensure reliable SMS delivery, all SMS messages sent via Upvise will use a registered Workbench International Sender ID.
Clients currently using branded/custom sender names may observe changes to the displayed SMS sender following this update. SMS Sender ID Register | ACMA
Enhancements
Purchasing
Purchasing Dashboard - A dashboard added under the Purchasing menu that provides information using interactive charts, allowing users to filter and explore purchasing data visually. These charts are linked so selections made in one chart will update all other charts on the screen. The dashboard is based on AP invoices and subcontract claims. For details refer to the User Documentation on Purchasing Dashboard.
Plant
Plant Items list - The list has been enhanced to support custom views with the typical Default and Data Dump views, and the Default is as-is. Recall that the ‘Edit Custom List’ permission is required to configure list views.
Plant Item, ToDo UX Update - The To-Do feature on Plant has been revised to improve usability as a precursor to a system-wide overhaul of To-Dos.
The To Do tab is replaced by a button and popup, the highlights of the redesign are:
improved browsing of the To-Do list with a side panel
introduces standardised statuses of Pending, Doing, Stuck and Done
support for a reminder date
support for repeated To-Dos
support for attachments on a To-Do
support for comments on a To-Do
use of preset filters
configurable notification utility
Refer to the User Documentation for details. The redesign is compatible with existing ToDos although the Status icon will be rendered in black for pre-existing statuses unless their setup is updated.
Timesheet - EBA Profile
Typically, the applied EBA profile on a person’s time entry is blank and is derived by the EBA interpreter, unless there is a known ambiguity, in which case the person will select the appropriate EBA profile.
Using the control parameter ‘Enable Time EBA Profile defaulting’ we can now default the EBA profile for a base scenario where the Start and End times "are within" those of a profiles Main tab Start and End period that is listed for the person’s User Specified Timesheet EBA Profiles list.
The EBA profile is only defaulted if the time entry Start to End is within the bounds of a single profile, else it remains blank for user selection.
This is supported in Daily Timesheets, Admin Entry (on initial entry), Timesheet Administration (on initial entry), Daysheets, Mobile Timesheet, and Mobile Timesheet Adv.
