Enhancements

Quotes - use workflow approval

Replaced the basic limit based approval with workflow approval.

The key points to note, as per usual with Workflow approval, are:

  • Workflow approval replaces the basic limit-based approval.

  • The pre-existing 'Quote Approvers Limit' setting continues to be used in the workflow.

  • The auto installed ‘Default Quote Approval’ workflow schema mimics the basic approval process so that initial behaviour is backward compatible.

  • The Administrator role is given the ‘Quote Admin Review/Approval’ permission by default.

  • The workflow functions available are Me, Profit Centre Manager and Location Manager, although these are determined from the quote profit centre rather than a job.

  • Job role functions are not supported as typically there is no job during approval.

  • Reviewers and approvers are supported in workflow steps.

  • Step limits and derived limits are supported.

  • My Approvals is enhanced for quotes.

Contract Claims - alternate multi open claim behaviour

The current behaviour on a multi open claim scenario maintains the integrity of This Claim when the certified value is different to the claimed value; the rationale being that by accepting the certified value we are accepting the reasoning and hence need to attend the reasons for the knock-back.

So, in Claim 3 you see This Claim = $100 is retained but the Claim To Date is adjusted to $275, and subsequent To Date are also adjusted.

image-20260312-232557.png

An alternate behaviour on a multi claim scenario would maintains the integrity of Claim To Date when the certified value on an earlier claim is different to the claimed value; the rationale being that accepting the earlier certified value is at that point in time and hence irrelevant to the assessment of the later claim.

With this view, in Claim 3 you see Claim To Date = $300 is retained but the This Claim is adjusted to $125 and subsequent To Date remain as-is.

We will support these different interpretations as a control parameter 'Default Contract Claim To Date' with {Claimed | Certified}; where Certified is the pre-existing behaviour and the default.

Location information will now display in PDF exports when the form contains an Address or GPS value and the “Include form Location” setting is enabled. The PDF will now show the Address where available, or GPS coordinates if no Address exists. Previously, only the address was considered.

Integration

  • Applied integration optimisations & error handling improvements.

  • Integration sync enhancements for contact emails containing spaces

Forms

  • Resolved an issue where subforms could be edited after a form reached its final workflow state. Subforms now correctly open in View mode (for non-admin users), preventing unintended edits and allowing easier export to PDF.

  • Fixed an issue where System Admin users were unable to create forms when the “Users cannot create Forms from Forms App” setting was enabled. Admin users can now always create forms as expected.

  • Resolved an issue where Options Table mappings were missing across Daily Diary and Purchase Order subforms. All required options table fields have been remediated to restore correct dropdown values, ensuring accurate data entry and integration with Workbench. Example:

Equipment

  • Resolved an issue impacting iOS users trying to initiate pre-starts via QR code

Android- UI Bug

  • Fixed an issue on Android where floating action buttons overlapped screen content in Equipment records, blocking access to options such as Archived Forms. The UI has been updated to ensure all navigation elements remain accessible across supported devices. Update to v 11.3 via google play to receive the fix.

Daily Diary

  • Resolved an issue where duplicate timeslot records were generated for plant issues, causing inflated time entries and incorrect data syncing to Workbench. A fix has been applied to prevent further duplication, with data remediation performed to remove existing duplicate records.

Purchase Orders on Completed Jobs (wb Logs)

POs can no longer be created for completed logs via Workbench or Upvise, with validation messages and job lock settings enforcing this restriction.

Android – v11.9 Beta Issue

  • An issue has been identified in Upvise Android v11.9 (Beta subscribers only) that may result in javascript errors on the mobile.

  • This does not impact production users (v11.3), only users who have subscribed to beta updates via google playstore.

  • Not related to Android OS versions

Workaround

  1. Opt out of the Upvise Beta program (Google Play)

  2. Uninstall the app

  3. Wait a few minutes

  4. Reinstall the latest production version.
