Workflow Delegation
Overview:
Delegation allows for a specific Document Type assigned to the Original Reviewer/Approver to also be made visible to the Alternate Reviewer/Approver via their My Approvals list for a duration. Any action by the Alternate user will be based on their own mandate for that document type, not the Original user's mandate.
Screen Guide:
Add a + New Delegate to begin the process.
Pick which Document Type you want to delegate. You will need to create additional lines for each type needed.
Enter the Start and End Dates that the delegation should cover. It must start with today's date or a future date.
Enter the Original and the Alternative Reviewer/Approver to denote which user you want to transfer authority from and to.
The Effective field is ticked when the delegation is currently in effect.
Completed shows which delegations have ended.
Use the Bin field to tick which lines to delete, then click Save.
Next Steps:
Once the delegations are in place, when Workflows are submitted, both the Original and Alternate users will see the Original user's documents in their review list.
