To Dos popup
Overview:
The To Do feature provides a quick, consistent way to capture, view, and act on small tasks from anywhere in the application. The To Do module supports general To Dos within a specific context, say a specific Job or Plant. The key points being:
improved browsing of the To-Do list with the slider panel

support for repeated To-Dos
support for attachments on a To-Do
support for comments on a To-Do
use of preset list views
configurable notification utility
Use the To Do popup to add items, assign owners, set due dates and priorities, and track completion.
Screen Guide:
The To Do popup is redesigned for speed and clarity. It is composed of three parts: Filters & Actions, To Do List, and Detail Side Panel.
List & New
New - Opens the Details Side Panel to create a new to-do
Displays the list of To-Dos sortable by clicking the respective header. The list displays per the filters, being all incomplete To-Dos by default, and click the Descriptions to browse the list while displaying details in the side panel. The list shows:
Status, click to directly update the To-Do in the list
Description and Details (if specified), clicking Description shows all attributes in the side panel
Comments count, clicking opens the Comments pane directly
Attachments count, clicking opens the Attachments popup directly
Priority with colour indicator
Due date
Type
Assigned person
An auto save of any side panel edits is triggered when navigating to another line on the grid while the side panel is shown.
Filters
Several filters are available to manually control the To-Dos displayed on the list:
Assigned To - filter by the assigned owner if specified
Completed - filters based on whether they are Complete / Done
Due - filter by the due date or a due-date range
Name - filter by a string match on the given name
Priority - filter by the specified priority
Status - filters by the status
Type - filter by the selected type, which are configured, if any
Preset Filters
Provides toggle access to common filters, and these will highlight as selected.
All To Dos - removes any Assigned To filtering
My To Dos - applies Assigned To filter for the current user
Inbox - toggles Completed = Yes / No
Due Today - toggles Due Date is today / Inbox
Due Next 7 Days - toggles Due Date is within 7 days / Inbox
Overdue - toggles Due Date is past / Inbox
Types - toggles the Type filter for the selected option
Details Side Panel
Use the side panel to add or update To-Do details:
Hovering on an icon shows the name.
Description - a short task description
Details - optional elaboration of the task
Status - select the appropriate status, the default is ‘Pending’, options being either Pending, Doing, Done, or Stuck
Due Date - the required attribute indication when the task should be complete
Priority - select if required, the default is ‘None’, options being High, Medium, Low, or None
Type - select an optional category from the configured list
Reminder - an optional date to receive a reminder
Duration - an optional memorandum field specifying approximate duration for the task
Repeat - an optional indication for how often the task is to be repeated, default is ‘None’, options being None, Daily, Weekdays, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly.
The repeating To-Do will auto-create when the current To-Do is Done or itsDue date is reached. To stop repeats set the Repeat to None on the latest To-Do.Assigned To - optionally select an owner, default is blank, the person must be a WB user as they have to update the To-Do
New Comment - displays a blank line for a new comment
Comment list shows prior comments made, it’s creator and date
The list items are only editable by the creator on the day created; and locked thereafter for auditing
Side Panel Actions
Close - closes the side panel
Attachments - shows the standard Attachments popup to associate files with the To-Do
Delete - deletes the current To-Do, prompting if there are attachments
Save - persists a new To-Do or applies any edits made, auto save is triggered when navigating to another line on the grid.
Notification
Reminder and Due notifications show on the Notification Bell with messages on the number of Due and Reminder items by Priority.
Clicking on a message will navigate to the application To Do List pre-filter for the current user for ToDos with a Reminder or Due for the date.
Clicking [See all notifications] will open the notifications list pre-filtered for unread messages.
The setup is via the Utility Scheduler with the ‘ToDo Notification’ utility wbGenerateTodoNotification with a default setup to notify on the Reminder and Due dates for Pending and Stuck to-dos.
Frequency: Once every day, enabled by default
Event: Set for Remind and Due events by default
Status: Pending or Stuck To-dos generate reminders by default, so excludes Doing
Overdue: Set for 3 days by default i.e. will continue to remind for 3 days after due
for specific criteria it may be required to setup multiple instances with different parameters.
Configuration:
To Do Statuses defines the status options available. The options are configurable with colour names per ‘HTML Extended Web Colour Names’. The default options are Pending, Doing, Stuck, and Done. It will retain any existing options already setup.
Priority options are defined as Lookups with Type = ‘ToDoPriority'.
ToDo Note Types define the options available, there are no defaults, and any existing options setup are retained.
Notification setup is via the Utility Scheduler with a default schedule ‘ToDo Notification’ for the wbGenerateTodoNotification utility with options:
