File Attachments popup

File Attachments popup

Overview:

The File Attachments popup lists the files or URLS that are linked to the current document context and provides means for their organisation. The popup is accessed from an [Attachments] button with a counter reflecting the number of attachments in the current context. The screen features familiar integrated elements used in typical file management functionality.

  • Navigation Breadcrumb - Provides context of current navigation and allows you to simply navigate back or all the way to the root level of the document context.

  • File Group Tree - Navigates the hierarchy of the document file group structure, and selecting a file group auto filters for files linked to that file group

  • Filters - Supports various search filters to limit the list to required attachments, including typical attributes like File Name, Type or Grouping

  • File List - Displays a paginated list of attachments on the current context, and the list is unfiltered by default. As the breadcrumb, group tree and filters are used, the list dynamically updates to conform to the navigation input. The default unfiltered list is restored by selecting the breadcrumb document root, or by removing all filter criteria and reapplying the filters. Clicking a file name will download the file, while clicking a URL will open the link in a new tab.

  • Drop Zone - Drag-dropping files in this area is the easiest means to upload new attachments within the current file group. Click the Upload button once the required files are listed in the drop zone to start uploading.

  • Action buttons - Provides access to all attachment management actions.
