New Features
Purchasing
- Purchase Order Details - The Purchase Order preview now includes an explicit Send button option that defaults the recipient to the PO's supplier contact. This may be overwritten with an ad-hoc recipient if required. Previously only the generic email feature was available without any support for default recipient.
- Purchase Order Details - Support for attachments is added to purchase order detail. THis allows any file type to be associated with the PO.
Contracts
- Claim Schedule Details - An 'Exclude from retentions' indicator is now available on Claim Schedule Detail. Note it only applies to the selected estimate basis for retention type of Step By Percent (Schedule Type).
- Budget Details - Template support has been added to the Budget Lines import format. This allows download of a pre-formatted Excel sheet with validations to ease the upload process.
Jobs
- Job Wizard - The Job Wizard process has been improved so that template driven job creation no longer needs to save immediately, but is now able to pre-populate data on screen only. This allows your job template to contain blank template fields for those that vary greatly between jobs, such as job manager. Previously template fields were mandatory and relied on the user to amend fields as necessary. These can now be blank ensuring the user explicitly sets the appropriate value. Existing job templates will continue to work as-is but may now be improved by blanking fields as required.
Feature Revisions
Timesheets
- Tablet Time and Plant - Tabbing through the columns when entering data, no longer causes a plant item to be selected, as plant is optional. Previously the tab sequence made it difficult to omit the plant field.
Purchasing
- General - All Accounts Payable data entry screen now support the capture of Purchase, Stock and Subcontract activity types. Previously the PO Details did not allow subcontract activities.
- AP Invoice Details - A warning is An error message is now displayed for Duplicate Invoice Number on attempting to save a duplicate AP invoice number for the same supplier.
Purchase Order Details
The following grid changes require the grids to be reset to re-sync the files if custom grid configurations have been made for PO Detail. To perform the reset go to Grid Management and select the PurchaseOrderDetail screen, and then click the [Reset] button. If the button is disabled then there was no custom settings and the action is not required.
- Selecting a Work Centre after having specified the Line Description will no longer overwrite the existing description.
- The Line Code column is now visually optional on the grid and can be hidden using grid management. Hiding the column previously reported an error although the Line Code data was optional.
- The O/S Quantity and O/S Cost columns are now visually optional on the grid and can be hidden using grid management. Hiding the columns previously reported an error.
- PO Details now allows saving without lines to support the operational requirement for obtaining a PO number before having details.
Contracts
- Contract Enquiry, Claims - A columns is added for 'Value Incl Retention' on the Claims tab of Contract Enquiry.
- Budget Details - Explicit sort options are now available for multi field sort orders on the grid.
- Budget Details - The Budget Detail screen now includes an 'Import' button that may be used after saving the budget header. This navigates to the budget import screen and auto populates the header ID ready for line import.
- Claim Schedule Details - The Schedule Type now remains blank on a new claim schedule rather than defaulting to the initial schedule type. This is to facilitates explicit selection of the type and it remains mandatory.
Work Breakdown Structure
- Job Templates - Saving job template changes now automtically initiates a clear application cache action to ensure that immediate use of the job templates after any changes will reference the latest version.
Activity Group Details - When adding an activity to the group, the work centre now defaults from the activity. Previously this was not happening and resulted in recapture of the default work centre if used.
Company
- The Addresses tab More popup now displays and edits the complete address.
- The 'GST Number' is moved from Main tab to Financials tab just before 'Use GST'.
- The Extension Columns tab is now hidden if none are defined.
- The Insurances tab only displays if the company is a Subcontractor.
Plant
- Plant List - A 'Budget' option is now available in the ellipsis that opens the Job Budget List screen for the plant job (ie. job code as per plant code)
- Plant Item - On new Plant, the Plant Template Job picker now limits the list to jobs with TypeCode of 'PLT'.
Administration
- Employee Class - A total value now displays on Employee Class as the sum of the grid values.
Integration
Xero
When populating the ClientSupplier on Xero Contacts being transfer to Workbench:

Previously customer and suppliers were being synced from Xero incorrectly, with customers coming into Workbench as suppliers, and suppliers as customers. This has been corrected.
MYOB
On MYOB a supplier or a client can be designated as either Company or individual. The Individual, the difference being only that an individual has Last Name and First Name. A , and a company only has Name. We now populate CompanyName as the Lastname bring into Workbench suppliers and clients designated as Individuals, with the Company Name being Last Name concatenated with First nameName.
On MYOB Config screen, the Validation Companies was not comparing the correct fields between MYOB and Workbench. This is amended to compare Wb ARACcount and Wb APAccount vs MYOB Cardids This has been corrected and the missing accounts are now shown with the AP or AR Account rather than the Alpha Code.
WebWB API
The SubContractDetailsFields now accepts a Status of 'Submitted'.
