File groups are used to group or identify attachments on the different entities in Workbench.
The Attachments screens on all entities are filtered by the entity defined on the File group. For example, a file group called Medical Records will only be available on a Person entity (Users and People) when uploading a file as an attachment. File groups that are not relevant to this entity will not display, avoiding confusion.
Screen Guide:
To create a new group type the name in Group name and click on +Add Group and save.
To maintain these File groups just select the file group and select the type (entity where this file group will be displayed when uploading an attachment.
Include On Emails it is used for when emailing AR Invoices or Progress Claims so that any attached files in file groups with that flag also get attached to the Invoice and are included in the email sent to the client.
