Module Overview:

The Web Workbench Timesheets module integrates with the standard Workbench database and structures

  • Functionality is provided for users to log in using their integrated Windows Login Code or traditional username and password
  • Timesheets may be entered by the logged in user
  • Timesheets may be entered by an administrator on behalf of an employee
  • Timesheets can be approved by authorised approvers
  • Timesheets can be reviewed by authorised reviewers
  • Disbursement transactions can optionally be added to a timesheet
  • Messaging via email is provided between timesheet owners and approvers
  • Multi Financial Company functionality is provided

    Timesheets are a core aspect of Workbench, integrating time tracking for job costing and payroll purposes with the rest of the system.

    This module is split into three subcategories: Timesheet Entry, Timesheet Approvals, and EBA Interpreter.

    Timesheets are used by almost all Workbench companies for all employees that need to have their cost of employment reflected against a job, and/or for payroll facilitation.

    Since this is a core module, extensive setup is required in several areas depending on the company's needs:

    Multiple Financial Company functionality is available, allowing a person domiciled in one Financial Company to work on a

    Job

    job domiciled in another Financial Company. The resulting

    inter-company

    intercompany journals are automatically created, ready to be exported to the financial software.
