Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is packaged with each version of SQL server and can be one of the following:
- SQL Server 2008 R2 Express with Advanced Services (32 bit and 64 bit)
- SQL Server 2008 (32 bit and 64 bit)SQL Server 2008 R2 Express with Advanced Services (32 bit and 64 bit)
- SQL Server 2008 R2 (32 bit and 64 bit)SQL Server 2012 Express with Advanced Services (32 bit and 64 bit)Services
- SQL Server 2012 (32 bit and 64 bit)2012
- SQL Server 2014 Express with Advanced Services (32 bit and 64 bit)Services

SSRS is often deployed on the same server as SQL Server, but can be on it's own server. In that case it is possible, for example, to run SQL Server 2005 for the Workbench database, and SQL Server 2008 for Reporting Services.SQL Server 2008 R2 or later is recommended.
