New Features

Site Maps:

An enhancement has been introduced to allow Workbench to provide clients with standard sitemap profiles, and also allow Admin users to hide menu items if they do not want them included.
The advantage of this is that clients will not need a custom sitemap (in most cases), and allows Workbench to release any new menu items or modules to be added to these sitemaps, which means that clients will not miss out on new functionality.
A new checkbox column has been added next to each sitemap item when editing a Site map Profile. Ticking it will always hide the menu item, regardless of the licence of the users. The standard licence verification still applies.

Subcontracts

  • Work Orders:

    • You can now see on which SubContract Claims each Work Order Line has been claimed on. A new column called Line Details contains a link to a new pop up screen that displays the list of SubContract Claims and their details.

Plant

Plant Meter Readings new screen: This new screen under Plant provides a view of meter readings across plant items, and supports bulk entry of meter readings for multiple plant items. It assumes that Meters have been configured and implements the same validation as entering readings on individual plant items.

Feature Revisions

General

  • Standard site map profile: Inwards Goods Entry and Job Outputs Entry menu items can now be accessed directly from their respective List screens, and these menu items are not needed anymore.

  • JSON serialization error popping up on My Approval List when having a large number of documents to approve has been rectified.

Jobs

  • Contract Job Work Centres: Extension columns have been added to the Job Work Centre lines in a Contract’s Work Centres tab. It displays same data as entered from extension columns in Job Work Centres from Job Maintenance.


  • Forecasting: A new column that displays the Purchase Order and Work Order types has been added on the pop-up screen for Expected Commitments column.

  • Job Enquiry: In the Details tab, the Cost % column calculation was incorrect in some cases and this has been rectified.

  • Budget: On Budget lines there is a direct link to Work Orders Lines or Purchase Order Lines that have been created from the budget line. The link is through an (info). It has been changed to only display if there are WO or PO lines to display.

Purchasing

  • Purchase Requisitions:

    • When opening the Purchase Requisitions screen, the default filters were not been applied. This has now been rectified and the list of Purchase Requisitions is the result of the default filters.

    • Attached files pop up screen: After creating a Purchase Requisition into a Purchase Order and clicking on the View button to see the newly created Purchase Order, the File attachments pop up screen was opening behind the PO screen. This has now been rectified.

  • Purchase Orders: Rectified an issue when recosting a Purchase Order with catalogue items. The recosting process was using the incorrect catalogue. This issue only happened when besides a standard Catalogue, the stock item was in a Job Procurement List.

  • AP Vouches

    • Inactive Activity codes have been removed as an option in the Activity field selection on This Voucher tab.

    • Additional filters were added on Docket Lines Tab, for ease of use:

      • Added ‘Docket Header Job’ filter

      • Added PO Number filter - displayed approved docket commitment POs only

      • Added PO Docket filter -  possible values are Yes and No (to display all PO'd lines)

      • Changed ‘Job’ filter label to ‘Line Job’

      • Changed ‘Code’ filter label to ‘Line Code’

      • Added ‘Line Description’ filter with "like, starts with, ..." options to find the data you are after

      • Schedule filter now lists only Docket Cost Schedules

      • The number of unreconciled Dockets for the Voucher’s Supplier is now displayed on the Docket Lines tab, same as PO Lines and Stock Receipted tabs.

Subcontracts

  • Improved navigation from Jobs list to Subcontracts. It now displays a breadcrumb menu for easy access back to Job list after opening a Subcontract from a Job Subcontract ellipsis menu:

  • Work Orders: After unapproving a Work Order, the New Line option on the Work Order Lines has been added.

Timesheets

Start and End validation when Control Parameter 'Validate Timesheet Start and End Times' is set to Yes:

  • When saving a timesheet, the system now checks that Quantity is consistent when a start and end time is populated.

  • When saving a timesheet and a validation error pops up, the system keeps the line details. Previously, details were being deleted.

  • Start and End validations are ignored if the activity sub-type is either “KMS“ or “Leave“.

Quotes

Further enhancements to Quotes as per valuable clients' feedback:

  • A new Sequencing option has been added in the At Cost Element type: Type, Line Code.

  • Markup % and Margin % fixed in various places (Cost sheet, Quote Main tab and Cost Sheet list).

  • Fixed sequencing of lines by Sequence No in the By Activity, Work Centre type.

  • Limited Activity selection by enforcing Activity Group in Cost Sheet or in Quote, where applicable.

  • Revenue type activities have been excluded from selection on the Cost line subgrid for At Revenue & Cost Element type.

  • A Quantity field has been added to the BOM adding function, which is multiplied in each inserted line accordingly.

  • Removed the validation on needing to have a Job before being able to import from the Quote screen as it not necessary. Also, the Import button on the Quote screen has been hidden for now until an adequate quote import is developed. The option to import from the Cost Sheet remains.

  • Added a Reopen button for Closed Quotes.

  • Sequence numbers on new Cost Sheets now start at 10.

  • The Line Code Lookup pagination now opens in the first page, rather than on the last page the user was before.

  • Rectified an issue where the newly created Cost sheet was not showing on the Cost sheet list after closing it, when this Cost sheet was the first one created.

  • Percentages on Cost Sheet summary have been formatted with 2 decimal places.

  • Values on Quote Main tab have been formatted as 2 decimal places.

Integration

Upvise

  • Time based subforms in Upvise now allow the selection of Time Codes, in those cases where the activity allows a Time Code selection. The Time Code selection on the timesheet line will be synced back to Workbench.
    Time entry subforms enhanced are:

    • Operator hours with equipment subform

    • Admin Hours
